I moved into the Graeagle area in 1998.  At that time I became a volunteer for the Whitehawk Ranch Fire Department.  In 1999 I took the First Responder class and became a volunteer for the Graeagle Fire Department.  A year after becoming a First Responder I obtained my EMT certification.  I was voted to a Captain position in 2002.  In December, 2009 I became a Director on the Graeagle Fire Protection Board.  Prior to retiring and moving to the Graeagle area I spent several years working as a Dental Assistant in Southern California, Wisconsin and Minnesota.  I was also fortunate to have the time and opportunity to volunteer in many fields; first as a Teacher’s Aid while living in Southern California and President of the P.T.A.  In Minnesota I volunteered in an extended living home in the Physical Therapy Department.  I also volunteered in fund raising for St. Paul’s Children’s Hospital, served on the Financial Board and helped in the non-profit Children’s Gift shop.  My time serving as a volunteer for the Graeagle and the Whitehawk Ranch Fire Departments has been a very rewarding and educational time in my life.
